The 3rd International Conference on Occupational Safety and Health and Fire Protection – SiZco 2026, was held in Travnik. It is one of the most important professional gatherings in the region dedicated to sharing knowledge, experience and innovation in safety, occupational health and fire protection.
The conference brought together professors, engineers, practitioners, inspectors, civil protection members, firefighters, and representatives of institutions and businesses from across the region, with a shared goal of improving safety standards through cooperation between the profession, science and practice.
As a conference partner and supporter of its organization, BORDI DOO had the honor of actively taking part in this important event and contributing to the discussion on the future of fire protection in the digital age.
Digitalization of fire protection – from record-keeping to proactive safety
As part of the conference program, a BORDI DOO representative gave an expert presentation titled “Digitalization of Fire Protection”, which outlined the current challenges organizations face, as well as the opportunities digital technologies bring to improving protection systems.
The presentation focused in particular on:
- digital management of fire protection equipment and systems,
- tracking legal obligations and inspection deadlines,
- centralizing documentation and records,
- increasing the transparency and availability of data,
- reducing the administrative burden through process automation,
- improving decision-making with reliable, up-to-date information.
Digitalization is no longer a question of the future, but a necessary step towards more efficient, transparent and accountable safety management. At a time when the volume of data keeps growing, digital tools enable organizations to respond faster, plan activities more easily and significantly improve the protection of people, property and operations.
Fire protection in the digital age
One of the central topics of this year’s SiZco conference was the digital transformation of occupational safety and fire protection. Panel discussions and expert lectures highlighted the importance of adopting new technologies, digitalizing processes, developing competencies and strengthening cooperation between institutions, educational establishments and businesses.
For BORDI DOO, taking part in the conference was a valuable opportunity to exchange experience with experts from the region and learn about examples of good practice. It confirmed that modern digital solutions play a significant role in improving the efficiency, transparency and safety of fire protection systems.
